What our customers say about their holidays

    • Confirmed Guest - Verified booking

We loved staying at Harebell House and despite the very mixed weather, we managed lots of walks on the beautiful nearby beaches at Beadnell, Low Newton & Bamburgh. We had a calm boat trip to the Farne Islands and saw puffins, seals, and dolphins on the trip back to the Seahouses! We met up with friends at Alnwick Gardens for the day and loved exploring Barter Books afterwards. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Whittling House in Alnmouth on Easter Sunday and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen at the cottage which had everything we needed and was so clean. It is such a gorgeous property and is very well located for exploring Northumberland. We would love to return when the weather improves! Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper and tulips on arrival. One of the best we have had when staying in a holiday cottage.

Had such a lovely week at Harebell House. The property had everything you need for your stay here and the furnishings are great. The complimentary shampoo/body wash was greatly appreciated and added a luxury touch. We loved the welcome hamper too. The house is in a remote and quiet location. Hearing the birds singing all day is amazing. Visiting Seahouses was one of our favourite parts of the Northumberland area which is only a 15 minute drive from the property. We would recommend having fish and chips from Neptune’s. Alnwick Gardens is brilliant. We really recommend visiting there and its only a 10-15 minute drive away too. This is our second time coming on holiday to Northumberland and everything is just as good as it was the first time! Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay for the week.

The property was easy to find and perfectly situated to explore so much in the area.

We were extremely fortunate with the weather (last week in June - not affected by the heatwave in the rest of England!) so were able to be out and about every day. Therefore didn't need to use the fire place, so can't comment on that. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything you might need for cooking your own meals, compared to many other places we've stayed in. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was good regarding water temperature and pressure; again, better than some other places. The garden furniture is now different to the one in the photo as is the layout in the family (larger) bedroom, but nothing to detract from the overall description. I would happily return for another stay to explore more than we were able to.

We were very impressed with the property!

It was newly decorated to a high standard, there were fluffy white towels and comfy beds. One bedroom with en-suite bathroom and tv. Big bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Fully equipped kitchen! Although it is located in a street and is mid terrace it was quiet and parking was easy. The harbour was approximately 10 minutes walk and there were lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. We recommend Rossini’s Italian restaurant! We went on a boat trip from the harbour and saw puffins (that leave in July apparently)! There is so much to see and do in Northumberland, it is beautiful and this was a good base to be able to reach lots of places. For people who like being in a small town! And when we arrived there was a lovely hamper!!

Wild Waves is an immaculate, modern, spacious, open plan bungalow in a great location on Harbour Rd with views of the sea from almost every part of the house. The property is light, with a great sense of space. The kitchen is of a high spec, well equipped and a joy to cook in with views to the sea in one direction and the small enclosed garden to the rear. Beadnell is a lovely location in itself with a great Beach, places to eat out and a small village shop, but is ideally centrally placed to visit all the best bits of the Northumberland coast. It's an ideal property for friends wanting separate rooms and bathrooms but also for families, with its lovely children's room. We would definitely stay here again.
