The Threshing barn is set in a lovely village location perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. It is about 20 minutes to Truro and Falmouth and also to Porthtowan beach, where you can book surfing lessons and there are cafes/restaurants, beach shops and toilets. As a family of 4 (children aged 15 and 12) the size of the barn was ideal and with 2 bathrooms there were no arguments! I would suggest some hooks to be added in the bathrooms for dressing gowns/ towels to be hung. There were plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped!The outside space is lovely and well-maintained, the patio area has seating and a BBQ - unfortunately the weather didn't permit us to enjoy the outdoor area! There is also two car spaces and a games room with a table tennis table, this area is shared with the cottage on the grounds. We had an issue with the oven the day after we arrived and customer services were very efficient and it was sorted the next working day and It didn't stop us from having a wonderful holiday at the Threshing Barn.

We enjoyed our stay at Norbank Cottage, Bressingham, between 22 October and 1 November 2024.
Although small - but almost ideal for an "elderly couple" like us - the cottage was very well equipped and easy to maintain. The only (slight) downside, and no fault of the owners, was the "Bungalow Knees" we have developed during the past 20 years of ground floor living, making the stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area a bit of a trial. However, we managed OK! As for the owners - Terry and Ann Betts - they were kind, helpful and very friendly, without being the least bit intrusive. The visit of their cleaner - Amy - at the mid-point of our stay - to change towels, bed linen, etc, was very much appreciated. Amy was most friendly and helpful, too! The property's Gardens were perfect for a short stroll - even in October - and will, no doubt, be outstanding during the summer months. An indicator of the friendliness of Terry and Ann, was their gift of a bottle of "Bubbly" on the "significant anniversary" during our stay - a most kind and unexpected present. This has been the most lovely stay we have had for a while. It was a great house with lots of amazing facilities like the hot tub (which we got in everyday) and the music room, (which we enjoyed). It was comfortable and we had everything we needed like games, cleaning equipment and a beautiful hamper with lots of fresh fruit. Pentney is a lovely village with stunning walks and a pretty church. It was also very quiet and there was a beautiful field of sheep which we enjoyed listening to every morning. The places we enjoyed visiting were: Brancaster beach, Old Hunstanton, Norfolk Lavender and many more. Our favourite things round the house were the hot tub (which we loved so much we got in in the rain!) all the games especially the scrabble and monopoly. What we are trying to say is we had an amazing stay and would love to stay again another time! We hope people in the future agree! Also the dog toys were much appreciated by Charlie the dog! The only thing we would have liked was a clothes line outside!

Stayed at Brook View Cottage over the Christmas period 2024. Loved the cottage, and the area. Neighbours were really friendly and helpful. Cottage was very warm and cosy and everything was provided. Lovely touches including a doggy welcome pack, and a very personal letter to them both about their holiday! Ideal location for dog walking, and supermarkets are only 5 miles away. Bed very comfy, and everywhere was immaculate. The garden isn't completely secure, so if your dog is an escape artist, or likes to chase neighbouring cats, then be aware. Apart from that we highly recommend this cottage for a holiday. The owner was very friendly and always extremely helpful.

What an amazing place to stay! The welcome pack was so generous, thank you. The house is fantastic and we loved trying all the gadgets. Great location to access everywhere. Local park good. We visited ROAR dinosaur park; Old Hunstonton Beach/Café; Hunstanton amusements and Sea Life Centre. Visited Norfolk Woods to do archery and swim. Also had private swim at Old Hunstanton Pool, all fantastic. Real find was Watatunga Safari, only 15 mins away! - unique but excellent. Good food at The Dabbling Duck and Carpenters Arms My granddaughter loved all the quirky parts of the home. We have had an amazing week. Thank you!
