Stayed here for a short break which was lovely and relaxing.
Good location just outside Aberlour, which is walkable distance from the cottage. Description and photos needs updating the sofa has been changed from what is in the photos to two 2-seater sofas that were comfortable initially but towards the end of our 4 night stay were hurting my back. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep every night. Plenty of facilities in the cottage, although the description said games and all we could find was a pack of cards. Plenty of books and literature though plus the television to keep you entertained. Upon arrival the outside lights weren't working which made it very dark and difficult to find the key (also seemed to set off loads of dogs barking when I was looking for it). FIrst morning the shower drain was blcoekd and water flooded the wet room (thankfully it was a wet room) managed to clear as much as possible and then informed owners who cleared it and it was fine after that. Although property is right next to the owners we didn't seem them at all (except to mention the shower). Lovely peaceful location and we did enjoy our stay despite a few niggles. I would stay here again but oinly for a short break, by the fourth night I was ready to come home.

Enjoyable stay in Coach House Cottage at the end of September with our dog. Ten minutes walk to the coast and lovely walks around and about including over to Sheringham and getting the Poppy Line train back to Weybourne station. We found the area quite dog friendly which was lovely, with cafes etc happy to accept a well behaved dog on the premises - especially useful with the changing weather! An added bonus for us was that for four nights we were treated to a wonderful display of the Milky Way as Weybourne is in the Dark Skies area. The Ship Inn - 2 minutes walk away - does a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to book in advance....even before you arrive! Our stay was end of September/early October! Evening meals are also served some evenings - again booking essential. The village shop opposite is well stocked and also serves teas/coffees/ breakfast and snacks.

Property NOT dog friendly, not suitable for a dog. 2 sliding patio doors in main room had to be kept shut so it is hot and airless, if open dog can go straight outside to road and caravan park. I was on edge all the time as I had to keep the dog at my side. NO enclosed garden, piles of gravel - it looks like a building site. Bedroom is tiny, 2 single beds separated by a 2â table. The best room is the wet room. I assume the apartment to have been a 1 person granny flat & it should have been promoted as such. I stayed 1 night and then left, I couldnât stay there because it is completely unsuitable for a dog. Maybe ok for a lapdog that is used to being carried?

We loved our stay at the cottage, it was so spacious, clean and ‘the welcome pack’ was exceptional. Everything we needed and more. (Loved Nancy’s cookies!) Sarah was so welcoming and helpful.We had some great dog walks, circular walk at Stourhead to King Alfred’s Tower. Beautiful grounds and coffee shop. Duncliffe Wood was perfect for a wet day with walks clearly marked. The cliff top path from West Beach was fabulous, the views breathtaking. Great restaurant/café at Hive Beach. Dogs may need to be on leads as cliff drop near to path. We would definitely recommend La Rose and book again.

We had a lovely restful time in this comfy cottage. It was a great place to stay with a nice garden at the rear to enjoy the good weather.The cottage benefits from a well equipped modern kitchen and comfy chairs and sofa with large tv in the lounge area. We discovered the nearby village of Hempton - great for dog walking. A nice village pub and a duck pond. Southview Annexe is in a great location near to Fakenham for shopping and lovely drives through pretty countryside to the coast.. Our hosts Linda and Norman were lovely and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Southview Annexe.
