Me and my friend recently stayed at Bonnieâs Shepherds Hut for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay.
When we arrived Chris, the owner, helped us with our bags to the hut. He gave us lots of recommendations of places to go and see and also helped us set us the hammock, BBQ and hot tub to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Chris and Helen both joined us for a drink on the Saturday night which was lovely, they are really friendly people! The lodge is on a beautiful lake and there is shared bar area which is perfect to have drinks whilst taking in the GORGEOUS scenery. We stayed up late in hot tub watching the stars and to cure our sore heads in the morning we had a lovely massage, which you can book for extra, off Lisa (we would definitely recommend this - Lisa is lovely and the massage was the best weâd ever had). Really enjoyed our weekend at the pod.
Good location as Blackpool, Lancaster, Garstang, morecombe etc are very near. Private and quiet with access to a hot tub on a night is a big plus. Cosy cabin and numerous comforts/facilities inside made our time there very enjoyable. A few very minor things would help. A mirror for the bathroom, something for the leaves in the hot tub before and after use would be helpful. The welcoming book needs updating as we noticed some pubs/restaurants were no longer open and were listed as such. However the book was very helpful. Had some issues with bugs and flies on a night getting into the pod so a screen or something similar would be helpful. However this is due to the location I.e. next to some trees and farmland. Overall an excellent stay and would recommend and come back for another visit.

My son is disabled so a single story was excellent. The accommodation for a holiday let was almost perfect apart from the thin walls between the living area and the bedrooms. We have a young child who went to bed long before we two. Although parched (not the owner's fault) the surrounding grounds are lovely and the lake delightful just a shame it was a hike to the top in respect of my son who was unable to go up there. To sum up, my granddaughter when, on the last day was asked if she will be pleased to go home said, "Yes but equally I want to stay here". The only real downside for us was the road because my son has a back injury and Ankylosing Spondylitis which reacts badly to a bumpy road. There is so much to do in the area and we had a lovely and memorable stay at Ramson Lodge. Than you.

Me and my partner stayed in Bonnies but for 3 nights and this was by far the best getaway we have had.
The owners Chris and Helen greeted us on arrival and helped us carry our bags, they then went through how to use everything and were extremely helpful. The hut had absolutely everything we needed in and the bed was so comfy! The place was so peaceful and we spent most of the time sitting on the garden furniture enjoying the view of the pond which was beautiful. I even had a massage from Lisa which was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend. Chris and Helen gave loads of recommendations on where to go and they were just such lovely genuine people, we also loved the dogs, Lillie and herbie as we are massive animal lovers. This is the perfect getaway and we will 100% be visiting again, we didn't want to leave. We highly recommend.

Our 3rd time at Rutland Camping and Caravan.
We stayed in Sycamore log cabin this time. Upon our arrival we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff who quickly showed us to our log cabin. It was warm and ready for us with a lovely welcome pack. Settees were very comfy as was the bed. Hot tub was up to temperature and very clean and we made use of the outdoor sauna too. This log cabin would benefit from a deep clean due to dust build up on the logs (higher up the walls and behind furniture) also the windows were filthy, however, this would not stop us returning and have booked to come back in September for a week. Onsite food is delicious and pool is a lovely touch. Overall a lovely relaxing stay with amazing staff. Thank you for having us.
