We were greeted on arrival and shown around the grounds by the very pleasant owner (sorry I didn't catch her name), she was very informative and helpful. The cottage (Harmony) is a lovely, homely place, with everything needed for any length of stay. A good size for 2 people staying, and could easily accommodate 4 people if the sofa was also a bed conversion. Very clean, the carpets are white and immaculate, no idea how they are kept so spotless? we were only supplied with one towel each for a 5 nights stay, but we could have asked for more I am sure, had we not taken 4 towels of our own anyway. The location is beautiful, very off the beaten track, which we prefer, but it was easy to access the A roads to take you to the coast or inland. Around 45 minutes from the west coast and North Devon coast, and just over an hour down to Polzeath and Port Issac. All in all, we had a lovely peaceful stay, and enjoyed the swimming pool on site, which was just the right temperature and exclusive for each cottage (no booking system, but if there is someone in the pool, just come back later), only one cottage occupants at any one time, it worked well, and we never had an issue with swimming when we wanted. There are 2 cottages that sleep 2 people in each, and a lodge sleeping 4. We will return in the near future, a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Wonderful week with the most incredible views!
My husband & I enjoyed the most peaceful week at Balvicar Beag, it was well kitted out with everything we needed there was even hangers in a cupboard which was very handy. The owners were on hand should we have needed anything but left us to enjoy the tranquil setting. The weather was a bit hit or miss but we still enjoyed sitting out on the decking area with some strawberries & cream with a glass of wine from the local shop. The fire pit was a big hit with my husband we sat out for hours one night as the sun went down & the stars came out. Enjoyed the little ferry ride over to Easdale island which is a must see! We spent a day going over to Mull on the ferry from Oban and also had some relaxing days with walks down to the waters edge. Also highly recommend lunch or dinner at the Oyster Bar the fish & Chips was amazing! All in all we would definitely recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat. Only suggestion I would make is perhaps a small storage box outside the pod for leaving muddy boots so people arenât having to bring them inside. Thank you Flo for a wonderful week!

What a fantastic little cabin on the shores of the Atlantic.
I was greeted by Flo, the owner, who took me down and explained where everything was and left me to it. She'd left milk, butter and a freshly baked loaf of bread along with tea and coffee. The cabin was clean, comfy and very cosy when the weather turned. The shoreline is a two minute walk, good for exploring or just sitting and watching the geese. The view from the decking is gorgeous, enjoyed either with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. You're 20 minutes drive back to Oban with all it hustle and bustle. Ganavan sands is a lovely beach with walks up to viewing points. From Oban, Fort William is just over an hour away, either via the coastal road or the mighty Glen Coe. A trip to Easdale is worth it. Tons to do if you wish or simple enjoy the peace of this little slice of heaven. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and slept well. There's even wood to have a little fire and enjoy the stars. A warm welcome, a cosy retreat and peace and quiet, what more could you ask.

We have recently returned from a lovely holiday at the Old Gardeners Lodge. The property is in a quiet position up a steep hill about a 10 /15 walk from the seaside town of Saundersfoot .The accommodation although very small and compact has everything you need for a short self catering break. The owners are very friendly and informative about the local area and although you are staying in their garden, it still feels very private as you have a small outside seating area if you are lucky enough to have good weather. There are some beautiful coastal paths close by and some lovely places to visit .The walks to nearby Amroth and the National Trust Colby gardens are well worth a visit as is the costal walk to Tenby(but be prepared as it is a very long and sometimes very steep walk)We got a taxi back for £8 to save our legs !! I feel like the Old gardeners lodge is very good value accommodation if you are mobile and like to do a lot of walking.

Really enjoyed our weekend at the pod.
Good location as Blackpool, Lancaster, Garstang, morecombe etc are very near. Private and quiet with access to a hot tub on a night is a big plus. Cosy cabin and numerous comforts/facilities inside made our time there very enjoyable. A few very minor things would help. A mirror for the bathroom, something for the leaves in the hot tub before and after use would be helpful. The welcoming book needs updating as we noticed some pubs/restaurants were no longer open and were listed as such. However the book was very helpful. Had some issues with bugs and flies on a night getting into the pod so a screen or something similar would be helpful. However this is due to the location I.e. next to some trees and farmland. Overall an excellent stay and would recommend and come back for another visit.
