    Dog friendly log cabins

Log cabins offer a special kind of getaway, a certain magic you can't get anywhere else. They let you take one step closer to nature to enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with leaving the stress of city life behind. They let you journey to the most remote and gorgeous parts of Britain, and look out of the window to see nothing but bright green hills, unravelling into the distance far further than the eye can see.

If you're ready to treat your dog to the holiday of a lifetime, the South West of England is the perfect place. Cornwall is the UK's tropical paradise. Home to above-average temperatures, below-average rainfall and some of the best dog-friendly beaches in the world, Cornwall is ready and waiting to give the Bahamas a run for its money.

The best way to explore the beauty of Britain

Lodges and log cabins are located, almost exclusively, in the most remote and naturally beautiful parts of the UK. As well peace, quiet and stunning scenery always being on the cards, you'll also be surrounded by some of the UK's best walking routes.

If you think your four-legged friend gets excited at the thought of running around the local park, wait and see the look on their face when they get to the rolling hills of the Lake District. Home to hundreds of miles of beautiful countryside, here you can tackle a dog-friendly walking route up England's tallest mountain, Scafell Pike. Or perhaps spend an afternoon wandering around Lake Windermere, before retreating to one of the county's pet-friendly pubs.

Maybe you could book a beachside log cabin on Cornwall's gorgeous Jurassic Coast, where your dog can dig up bones older than humanity itself? After a long walk across the craggy cliffs, you can lounge beneath the sunniest skies in Britain, while your pooch plays in the sands of England's most popular dog-friendly beaches.

Dog-friendly log cabins pair well with luxury

Too much of the time, booking a rustic log cabin, or even just a dog-friendly holiday home, means having to compromise on luxury. Well, here at Snaptrip, nothing could be further from the truth. Thanks to our unrivalled range of high-quality lodges and log cabins, you can book pet-friendly accommodation and still have all your holiday dreams come true.

Whether you're dreaming of a decadent hot tub, underfloor heating or your own indoor swimming pool, we've got you covered. Why not book a luxury lodge on a working farm so your pooch can play sheepdog for the weekend? Or perhaps you could spice up your Instagram feed and head to the Isle of Skye for stunning views?

Some people see it as fussy but we know it's the furry little extras that turn holidays from fine to fantastic. So, whatever you're craving, use our pet-friendly filters to find precisely what you're looking for. If you need additional help finding the perfect holiday home, we're also on hand over the phone or via email, seven days a week.

They are a getaway for absolutely everyone

Whatever the occasion, pet-friendly lodges can provide the perfect base for your next holiday. Maybe you're looking to leave the rest of the world behind and lead your special someone on a romantic getaway to the most beautiful parts of Britain? Well, how does wandering hand-in-hand, your faithful dog by your side, beneath the incredibly clear nights-skies of the Brecon Beacons sound?

Why not bring everyone together with a pet-friendly holiday home that's large enough to fit the whole family. Or take the 'me-time' that you so desperately deserve and bring your dog on a relaxing holiday in the Scottish Highlands. You and your pooch can spread out in a luxury open plan lodge or curl up in front of a log fire in a cosy log cabin, as nothing but birdsong fills the crisp countryside air.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Miss Thornton - Verified booking

Really lovely pod, perfect for the two of us and our dog. We loved the hot tub and found the whole pod absolutely lovely to stay in. However there are some things that we were slightly disappointed with. The pod is dog friendly and we loved the little box of treats and dog bowls, however there is not security for the dog, no gate to the cabin area mean that the dog could very easily get out into the field and subsequently the road, we were lucky that we bought something to block the entry way, so might be something to note for future stays. We would have also liked some more information on arrival, there is an info pack, but it seemed to miss out things such as recycling, how to use the hot tub etc. We also arrived to some sort of meat item which was half frozen in the fridge, we were so unsure as to what this was to begin with, as it was just in a sandwich bag and we thought that it had just been left by previous guests. Although there were some negatives, the positives really outweighed them. The pod is beautiful, don’t up to a great standard, beautiful location and was just perfect for what we needed. We will thoroughly looking to book another trip here later in the year, and would recommend to anyone.

    • Mr - Verified booking

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were of a high quality and the apartment was very well equipped with everything you might need for the stay. It was in a very quiet location even though it was quite close to the main road into Aldeburgh. The views from the living room and bedroom were lovely and we were lucky that the weather was very nice so we took advantage of sitting in the beautiful front garden. The only negative is that the apartment is described as being within walking distance of Aldeburgh High Street. This is misleading as it is two miles along the busy Saxmundham Road with no footpath in places. This meant that we had to drive every evening into town to eat/drink which is not ideal if you have already been driving in the daytime. On the plus side there were several lovely walks close by to the apartment, in particular the Sailors Path which was only a hundred yards from the entrance to the property. We would definitely recommend Marsh View and hopefully will return next year.

    • Jan & Colin - Verified booking

Never until now have we found a place that ticks all the boxes. Especially for us, a super-king bed. Having a tough year with health it was a much needed break. Unfortunately the journey wasn't good for me. Daily cancelling all our plans but thankfully hubby was able to get his well deserved chill in the hot tub. When we did get out we had dinner at Recruiting Sergeant Coltishall. Fabulous food and lovely pub with some nice seating out back. Bure River Cottage fish restaurant very good. Must book, gets full very quickly (Horsey). Ferry Inn Horning nice sitting on the water. Hilary what a fabulous job you did designing The Cartshed. It has everything and more anyone would need. Although it took a while before I met you both Colin kept telling me how wonderful and helpful you were. The goodies you left were a real treat, home grown produce for us when we got home, was wonderful. It was lovely to chat with you both this evening. Your gardens are beautiful. We will definitely be back to see more of Norfolk. Thank you.

A wonderful and relaxing break at Cartshed Lodge. 5 star accommodation and everything we needed. Really enjoyed the hot tub and chilling out on our return after a day out. Thank you to Hilary and Russell for being so welcoming and the scrumptious biscuits, eggs, apple juice and bundle of apples which we will use to make apple crumble on our return home. We were so lucky with the weather. Hired a boat from Sutton Staithe as recommended, and spent a few hours on The Broads which was so peaceful and relaxing, and moored up at the side of an old windmill for our picnic lunch. Went on a seal trip with Beans Boats from Morston Quay - well worth doing - saw so many seals. Visited Holkham beach which was stunning and the town of Burnham Market. Train trip on the Bure Valley steam railway and Miniature World in Wroxham. We'll be back to Norfolk as so much more to do.

    • S & C - Verified booking

Our second visit to this lovely lodge and we've had amazing weather. We borrowed bikes one day and cycled to Aylsham alone the Bure Valley Railway, and then onto Marriot's Way all the way to Reepham (and back!) The hot tub was very welcome that evening. Also visited Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Estate, and the very interesting RAF Radar Museum, which is only an hour walk away. We also recommend the walk in the information folder which you can start from the lodge. More chickens this year and we enjoyed their eggs for breakfast. We are returning home with Norfolk cider and apple juice from Wroxham Barns (a short walk away), and jam and marmalade from Mrs. Marmalade (on the way to Wroxham).
