The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable and the owner was helpful putting things right as necessary.
What let the cottage down was the basics not being available. No hand wash in the kitchen, the tiniest amount of washing up liquid, not one dishwasher tablet, no fire starter pack, one solitary toilet roll, the smallest welcome pack we have ever experienced, 2 tea bags, 2 instant coffee sachets, pint milk - welsh cakes were appreciated though, no spare bin bags, resolved, no hot tub towels, resolved, no washing line or clothes maiden, resolved. We don't expect all inclusive and we bring provisions it did feel that the basics were skimped on. The lack of a visitors book was a real shame, as they can be so helpful with previous visitors recommendations. There is an information pack however it is out of date. We went to a market detailed in there to find is ceased trading a year ago and the farm shop has very little there not worth the drive. Some of the places recommended are a long way from the cottage. As previous visitors have mentioned, the bathroom can become smelly at times, the lack of net curtains in the bedroom creates a lack of privacy. The hot tub recommended temperature of 34 degrees creates a luke warm tub and is nowhere near hot enough. We have rented several properties with hot tubs and have never encountered this. It should be declared on the listing, I would not book a cottage that insisted on this. Again, this felt like a cost cutting exercise. Overall, an absolutely lovely property and the owner was helpful. We had a lovely time staying there, just needs a bit more attention to visitors' needs.

My husband & I had the most wonderful stay at The Coach House even though the weather was on the damp side.
It is located at the end of a pretty lane/drive which was a mass of bluebells, dry stone walls covered in mosses, with rabbits & squirrels running freely. This property is extremely well equipped & has been well thought out to maximise the space & comfort of those staying. The cleanliness was outstanding, all the furnishings & equipment are of a high standard. Everything is tastefully put together, no add hock / second best here ! The little patio is a delight to sit out for that coffee or glass of something, & listen to the birds singing ( there is some traffic noise, but nothing can be done about that ). The owner is friendly, a mine of knowledge & only to happy to help in anyway ( he also lives next door, which is convenient should there be any problems ). On arrival, he had laid out delicious pastries to take with our tea. There really wasnât anything that was too much trouble, he really cared we enjoyed our stay ! There were plenty of DVDs, games, puzzles, books, & the Wifi was excellent . Highly recommend this property !

Wow - what can we say? We've visited Norfolk many times as a family over the last 20 years and bringing my own twins (who are 3) to this beautiful house was simply magical. The garden was brilliant for playing in for both children and adults, where we enjoyed water pistol fights and boules, once the kids were in bed (you'll find there in the shed!). The home itself has everything you'll need, including a great nights sleep in those lovely beds. We visited many places over our week including the brilliant Roarr Park - if you have a dinosaur fanatic, this is a must! We went to Wells, which we always enjoy for a walk, Old Hunstanton Beach, a brilliant and relaxing place for the whole family and the fair in Hunstanton where we all felt like children. We are already planning out next visit and will definitely be booking this house.

We had a wonderful stay at Staithe Cottage over New Year! Location was great for the beach and local friendly pub, The West Norfolk. We were able to walk up to Hunstanton and drive to great beaches, Wells Next The Sea and Brancaster. The cottage was really well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, and very comfy bedrooms and large bathroom. Garden was huge, would be great in the summer. Very cosy lounge with a plenty of sofa space. Excellent location, perfect for a family stay, they even provided a dog bed & bowl for the dog. Couldn’t fault at all, would highly recommend. Everything was catered for including hairdryers, thermos and games for the kids. Great stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our week!

Bathroom had large walk in waterful shower. Lounge diner comfortable and cosy. Good broadband , but tv difficult to navigate . Good off road parking on premises. Hot tub in nice private location . Good location for walking the coastal path. Local pub The Ship served local tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere all , staff very friendly .
