What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms George - Verified booking

We stayed with our dog for Christmas. The cottage was really welcoming and tastefully decorated. Everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was provided. Lee put so much thought and effort into making our stay that extra special over Christmas. A welcome hamper, fizz in the fridge and even a Christmas present for me and my partner and the dog under the tree ❤️ The host were so friendly and helpful, and we even shared a drink or two with them at there bar! The location is perfect for days out, within 25 minutes drive to Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle and Bodmin. We would highly recommend the cottage, and definitely would stay again.

    • Mr Bourne - Verified booking

Immaculate property, easy enough to find, guest was sent us a text as we were close to the property which allowed us in a bit early, very welcoming, great welcome pack with useful information. Property is as per the photos, really great back garden to allow our pooch to roam around. Great smart TV which had Netflix, Freeview and of course you could your own accounts for other channels. Kitchen was lovely with lots of everything and the welcome pack with some basics. The house is well located for easy footpaths to allow yourself and dog for a walk. Would highly recommend if you fancy peace and quiet away from it all. Big thumbs up from us.

    • Mr Lester - Verified booking

The cottage perfectly suited my stay in regards location and amenities. Everything I needed was provided and a great welcome pack. However, the directions to find the property need to be improved I feel. Eg 'property is behind the Black Bull pub' was not adequate arriving in the dark as I did. It should say, 'to the left of the pub there is a entranceway leading to a farm style gate behind which is a yard with four properties of which Wren cottage is one.' Coincidentally, one evening I met another visitor who couldn't find the next door property (Teal) as it was so dark. Better directions would solve this.

    • Mrs Fairman - Verified booking

We don’t consider the use of the word ‘ cottage’ a fair description, it was a small semi-detached house! Also we felt that it was totally unacceptable that we weren’t able to gain access to the property until 5pm, which means we loose a day of our holiday, although it was 7 nights accommodation the holiday is short by 1 day as we had to vacate at 10am. We have spoken to a number of people who have used Original Cottages (Suffolk Secrets) and they all agree that something needs to be done to allow occupancy around 2 pm which was the time when we first used your company.

    • Mr Record - Verified booking

We spent five lovely days at the Bearoak Shippon and really enjoyed our time there. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need along with probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The bathroom is large and, in late April, the underfloor heating was most welcome. The owners are great hosts and very friendly and gave us tips on what was happening and worth a visit locally. The neighbour was also very helpful with his local knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
